About Cinema Akil
Cinema Akil is Dubai’s independent arthouse cinema, dedicated to films from the UAE, the region and around the world. Founded by Butheina Kazim, it began as a nomadic cinema platform in 2014 before opening its permanent home at Alserkal Avenue in 2018, becoming the GCC’s first arthouse cinema.
