About Lawrie Shabibi
Founded in 2010, Lawrie Shabibi is a contemporary art gallery at Alserkal Avenue representing emerging and established artists from the Middle East, North Africa and wider Global South. Its programme places a strong focus on underrepresented practices, diaspora, identity, memory, history and socio-political themes, while also presenting art-historical exhibitions by earlier generations of artists.
