Interoception

At Iris Projects, Juma Al Haj gives form to a feeling many of us experienced recently: the inner chaos created by external instability. Created during a period of geopolitical tension, the exhibition feels like a visual translation of anxiety, alertness and uncertainty. Lines repeat, gestures accumulate, colours vibrate. The canvas becomes almost like a seismograph recording what happens inside the body when the outside world feels unstable.
