Art Here 2026: Confluences

What makes Art Here particularly distinctive is its setting. The works are installed beneath Louvre Abu Dhabi’s iconic dome, placing contemporary art directly in dialogue with Jean Nouvel’s architecture, filtered light and the museum’s relationship with the sea.

This sixth edition also resonates strongly with the museum’s current exhibition, Spices and Wonders: Sailing the Indian Ocean. While Spices and Wonders looks back at 1,000 years of maritime routes, trade and cultural exchange, Confluences brings those same questions into the present, exploring how migration, memory and encounters across the Indian Ocean continue to shape identities and communities today.

Presented alongside the Richard Mille Art Prize, Art Here creates a contemporary counterpoint to the museum’s historical exhibition and makes the dialogue between past and present particularly strong this season.
