Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra

This is more than a standalone orchestra concert: it forms part of the Bolshoi Theatre’s first official UAE tour, one of the major classical music events of Dubai Opera’s season. The Orchestra arrives with a 250-year history, deeply tied to the Bolshoi’s opera and ballet productions, and a reputation built around large-scale symphonic repertoire and some of Russia’s most distinguished musicians.

The concert sits within a particularly strong Bolshoi programme at Dubai Opera: The Tsar’s Bride is presented on 2 December, followed by this symphonic concert on 3 December, then The Nutcracker from 4 to 6 December, performed by the Bolshoi Ballet with the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra. So this is really part of a broader Bolshoi takeover of Dubai Opera across five days.
