Paul Guiragossian: 100 Years of Art

Paul Guiragossian: 100 Years of Art marks the centenary of one of the defining figures of modern Lebanese and Middle Eastern art. Bringing together significant works from the artist’s estate, archival photographs, personal documents and rarely seen material, the retrospective traces Guiragossian’s evolution from early figurative works to the distinctive elongated figures and densely grouped compositions that came to define the practice. Themes of displacement, family, belonging and human connection run throughout the exhibition.
