Vantage Point 13

For its 13th edition, Vantage Point enters a new chapter as the first edition presented in Sharjah Art Foundation’s dedicated Photography Gallery. Bringing together six newly commissioned projects by Luisa Dörr, Latifa AlBokhari, Sathish Kumar, Adam Rouhana, Guanyu Xu and Maheder Haileselassie, the exhibition pushes documentary photography beyond the idea of a simple record of reality. Through portraiture, installation and spatial interventions, the artists explore memory, representation, displacement, conflict and erasure, questioning how images shape the histories we remember and the ones that remain unseen.
